Prantalos.com is Now YanisWrites.com!

Over the past few months, I’ve been reflecting on how to make my blog more accessible and memorable. A Greek surname can be a mouthful, and I wanted something simpler and more universal. So, I decided to change to YanisWrites.com, a name that’s easier to remember, share, and type.

This change is also part of a broader personal journey. I’ve been working to reduce my digital footprint tied to my real identity (I’ve already deleted my Facebook, Reddit, and plan to delete X and Google soon). YanisWrites allows me to continue writing and connecting with you while keeping a bit more privacy.

Nothing really changed

Everything you love about the blog remains unchanged:

  • No ads, ever. The blog will continue to be ad-free.
  • No affiliations. I’m not monetizing through partnerships or sponsored content.
  • Free subscriptions. This is and always will be a hobby project, not a money-maker.

The content, the voice, and the passion behind the blog are all still here, just with a new name and domain.

What’s Next?

You don’t need to do anything! All existing links from Prantalos.com will automatically redirect to YanisWrites.com. If you’ve bookmarked the old site, it will still work seamlessly.

Please note that comments were not migrated to the new site. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be reviewing all posts to ensure everything is as it should be, and I’ll also be updating the blog’s theme for a fresh look.

A Quick Technical Note

I’ve also made a big change behind the scenes: I decommissioned most of my Hetzner servers, and now everything is self-hosted right here at the Prantas office. I’ll be sharing more about what I did and how I did it in an upcoming post, so stay tuned for a deep dive into the tech side of things!

Oh, and if you’ve ever wondered what I’ve been hiding in the shadows, there’s a vault of 10+ unfinished drafts, I could not publish due to time constraints. Summer might just be their time to shine.

I hope you’ll join me on this next chapter. Thank you for being part of this journey! I truly appreciate your support and readership.

As always, feel free to send me an email with any questions or thoughts. I’d love to hear from you!

Happy reading,
Yanis

P.S. If you notice any broken links or issues with the transition, please let me know. I’ll make sure everything runs smoothly!
